| الملخص: | The thesis studies the views and theories of Islamic Law on disciplining and matters
related to it. The research is divided into four chapters or sub –sections aimed at
giving parents, children, and teachers a better understanding on the true meaning of
disciplining by showing them the ways and methods of practice according to the
Islamic Jurisprudence. The research begins by highlighting the ideal educational
methods to produce a well-balanced society based on previous research related to the
subject. The research then proposes a working definition of disciplining and the
importance of understanding the subject thoroughly. In its conclusion, the research
tries to emphasize the true meaning of disciplining as well as providing general
guidelines to it. The research examines Islamic legal documents on the subject of
discipline as well as analytical deduction method to produce the true definition of
disciplining and its principles according to the Islamic Jurisprudence as stated in the
Qur’an, the Traditions of the Prophet, and writings of Islamic scholars on the subject.
The key factor of this research is the importance of revising our understanding of the
disciplining methods in accordance to the Islamic Law through its guidelines and
principles to provide a remedy to all disciplinary problems be it in families or
educational institution especially those related to violence and abuse. |
