Description
Summary:This study aimed to study the effect of the external factors (encourage peer, English, Computer self-efficacy and enjoyment ) and the internal factors (perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness) on the students' acceptance to use virtual learning (VL) in the colleges of education in Saudi universities, (363) students from college of education in University of Hail in Saudi Arabia which they are enrolled in (241 WSL) are framed the sample of the study .The results of factor analysis indicated that questionnaires of external and internal factors were characterized by good reliability and construct validity. Meanwhile, the Results of path analysis indicated that the extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) fitted the data where the comparative Fit Index (CFI) =5,996. In addition, the finding of the study showed that the peer encouragement and enjoyment have a positive relationship, while the relationship between English and the computer self-efficacy is positive and stronger than the previous one. Meanwhile, peer encouragement and enjoyment predicted directly perceived ease of use. 44% from perceived ease of use was accounted for by peer encouragement and enjoyment. Furthermore, peer encouragement and enjoyment predicted indirectly perceived usefulness and virtual learning via perceived ease of use. Finally, perceived ease of use predicted statistically perceived usefulness and virtual learning. 84% from perceived usefulness was accounted for by perceived ease of use. 71% from virtual learning was accounted for by perceived ease of use. The study recommended to work on the awareness of the importance of using the VL, as well as to increase the attention to the training, and to develop mechanisms to motivate the students and the lecturers to use VL. Furthermore, the researcher emphasised the important role of the English language to develop the skill of the students in order to get benefits from VL websites in the Internet.
