总结:This research aims to analyse the rulings (al-ahkam) of prayer (al-salah) for the people who have cerebral palsy, which may affect how they perform the obligation of daily prayer as mandated by Islam. Cerebral palsy is a condition where the brain suffers from an injury or malfunction in the central nerve system that can cause interference, feebleness and partial or total loss of the ability to move. This can cause one arm or one leg to be affected or both of the limbs or both arms and legs. This research focuses on the relationship between the legal eligibility (al-ahliyah) and permissible excuses (al-a'dhar al-shar'iyyah) within Islamic ruling on daily prayers with the people who have cerebral palsy. This is to ascertain the position of people with cerebral palsy within the scope of the aforementioned excuses. This research argues that whether the justification of eligibility is complete or not depends on the level of understanding of people who have cerebral palsy. Furthermore, this research confirms that cerebral palsy is classified as an illness within the scope of the legal eligibility and permissible excuses. This research uses inductive, analytical and field study approaches to analyse the rulings of prayer for the people who have cerebral palsy based on the related literature that includes medical and classical Islamic textbooks and other supportive materials. This research finds that the obligation to perform prayer by the people who have cerebral palsy is legitimate based on Al-Qur'an and Sunnah, and that said person has the obligation to perform prayers. However, where cerebral palsy causes hindrance and difficulty to perform prayer, Allah has given His exception and leniency to those who suffer from the illness. On the other hand, when the required conditions (al-dawabiṭ) to perform prayer are fulfilled, the cerebral palsy sufferers have the obligation to perform it, and the parents or close relatives must assist the person until he or she may be able to perform prayer completely when Allah helps him or her towards recovery.
