| الملخص: | This study aims to reveal the concept, origin and principles of social mutual responsibility (al-takaful al-ijtima'i) from the perspective of the Prophet's traditions (Sunnah) and present it as a framework in providing treatises to the homeless phenomenon in Kuala Lumpur. This study uses the inductive method of research in collecting, analysing and describing data in regards to the concept, origin and principles of al-takaful al-ijtima'i, and the reality and challenges of the homeless phenomenon in Kuala Lumpur. It is also used in gathering and recounting the ahadith (Prophet's sayings) that are associated with this framework and in apprehending the scholar's interpretations to those selected ahadith. This study finds several important factors regarding the applicability of al-takaful al-ijtima'i. The individual plays a big role in treating homelessness by implementing al-takaful al-ijtima'i in their society, especially through the camaraderie in the principles of al-takaful al-ijtima'i. This practice produces good takaful relationship between individual, family, neighbours and society, thus producing an effective third sector and a more civil society. |
