總結:The visual approach can be an engaging and alternate medium in delivering da’wah. Visual use through social media is seen as relatively inventive and influential. This study aims to recognize and analyze the aesthetic form of visual da’wah representation through social media. Further investigation into visual aesthetic experiences will be conducted on how aesthetic visuals relate to Muslims. More than 300 visual da’wah were collected on Dr. Zakir Naik, and The Daily Reminder Facebook pages over three months. Visual da’wah is analysed through the Close Reading technique (CRIT) to recognize aesthetic objects or features, known as Gestalt Design Principles. This study demonstrates the discussion of each Gestalt principle; Similarity, Symmetry, Closure, Figure and Ground, Inclusiveness, Direction, and Pragnanz. Focus groups were conducted to investigate how these visuals contribute to or relate to Muslims’ visual experiences that are conditioned into Perceptual, Emotional, Intellectual, and Communicative. Finding shows that aesthetics in visual could turn into a self-reflection medium, varying significantly on one's religious experience and life experiences. On a bigger scale aesthetic understanding of the visual da’wah could be taken as part of the responsible duty of both Dae (preacher) and Graphic Artist in representing the image of Islam.
