总结:Energy harvesting from inexhaustible sources with no adverse environmental effect can provide unlimited energy for harvesting in a way of powering an embedded system from the environment. It could be RF energy harvesting by using antennas that can be held on the car glass or building, or in any places. The abundant RF energy is harvested from surrounding sources. This thesis focuses on RF energy harvesting in which the abundant RF energy signals from GSM, DCS, Wi-Fi and 3G. A microstrip patch antenna operating at four frequencies 0.9, 1.8, 2.1G and 2.45 GHz is designed in this project. FR-4 substrate with a height of 1.59 mm and dielectric constant of 4.4 and shield conductor are used for the design of this antenna. Testing results show that the resonant frequency of the microstrip patch antenna is 0.87GHz, 1.78GHz, 2.13GHz and 2.445GHz which agrees with the simulation results.
